SeaDoo 3D Multi-Riding Position Platform | BRP
A multi-position boating platform designed during my internship with Bombardier Motor Corporation.
Code named Barracuda, it is a fully customizable watercraft that features the ability to modify riding position in seconds. Stand, sit, kneel- this watercraft does it all. The concept was presented to the French-speaking senior executive team. Bombardier ended up making it a production model a few years later, followed by numerous design awards, including “Boat of the Year” by Boating Magazine in 2005. The SeaDoo 3D was the first personal watercraft to ever receive this award.
MOTO. This position adds a motorcycle experience to the 3D. A slightly higher center of gravity accentuates turn in and cornering like a motorcycle.
KART. Drops the steering column and rider into a seated position, adds a racing seat with back support, and facilitates an experience like racing a go-cart. Lower center of gravity makes the hull slide on the water with more slip.
KNEE. A kneeling position that is easier on the knees than traditional stand-up riders.
VERT. The most dynamic and engaging way to ride a water craft. Like surfing with a 130 HP engine under your feet. Dynamic steering column adjusts to the rider, offers more control and balance.
