ShadowCat Design Language | Alienware

Following the launch of the Alpha STEAM console design, Alienware partnered with my team to evolve their aging visual brand language.

We deconstructed the visual design elements and evolved the shield language into the ShadowCat design. Alienware, known for its ‘otherworldly’ computing power, needed a visual refresh for an older, more sophisticated demographic. ShadowCat refines the previous Epic language, focusing on updated shield side panels, lighting, and thermal venting. Its signature element is the integrated stand that makes the tower appear to float. My team worked with the Alienware design leads to establish the core visual metrics and form vocabulary that would define the ShadowCat language. Then we developed concept themes and explored a wide range of aesthetic gestures and CMF that packaged the high-power computing payload.
